The next release of FastStream SC is due at the end of January 2009 and will have a lot of exciting new functionality that will provide end users a better out of box experience. With features that make troubleshooting and management of multiple storage arrays easier plus the ability to have redundant paths to storage with load balancing and better reliability.
Customers looking to add multipathing to their storage for OS X and other operating systems can now add the FastStream to their infrastructure to provide greater performance and peace of mind that a fibre link failure won't take down storage and if a link is busy, data will get rerouted to a different link to keep data flowing;
Multipathing for OS X, Windows 2008, SuSE and Red Hat Linux!
Enclosure Aware RAID group creation
Dedicated Hot Spares
New event log messages

This controller has the same features as the FastStream SC 7500 except it is provides 8-Gb for greater single channel performance providing a workstation with greater available bandwidth without the need for multiple fibre channel links:

Two 4-lane 3-Gb MiniSAS device ports
Support for 128 Storage Devices
